Dear Fellow Collectors:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank eveyone who has sent me and my family their well wishes and condolences on the passing of my father, Larry Fritsch. The outpouring of love and your personal hobby experiences with and about my Dad have been very, very touching and I cherish them greatly. My belief was very much confirmed that he was a very well-liked and respected man in the hobby. Your sentiments will never be forgotten. A heartfelt thank you.
I had worked alongside my Dad for as long as I can remember, which is 1963, opening packs of cards, sorting, etc. On occasion sampling a piece of that great Topps gum. Throughout my entire childhood, cards and card collecting were on top of my list. I put in countless hours working with and for my Dad. Like for him, for me it also was a labor of love. I officiallly started full time in 1979 after college and took over the day-to-day operations of Larry Fritsch Cards in 1987 while my Dad chased his dream of a Baseball Card Museum in Cooperstown, New York.
When Larry passed, the business lost its founder, I lost my mentor, my partner, my best friend and my father. So while my life will never be close to the same I want all of you to know that Larry Fritsch Cards is operating as close to the same as possible as it has for the last 38 full-time years. Can my Dad ever be replaced? No, not even close, his hobby knowledge was second to none and his business sense uncanny. All I can promise you, our customer is that we will try our best and treat you with the respect and courtesy you deserve.
Thank you,
Jeff Fritsch |
