ShopKo/Upper Deck Sets

These 90-card sets were produced by Upper Deck and distributed in Wisconsin by ShopKo Stores across the state. Included in the 1996 set are Packer stars for that year such as Favre, Chmura, Brooks, Freeman, White and Butler plus Packer greats from earlier years like Hornung, Nitschke, Hutson, Gregg, Wood and Lombardi.

The 1997 set is broken into four sections. Cards 1-40 feature all the stars of the 1996 team, including Favre, White, Chmura, Butler and Howard, while cards 41-59, entitled “Season to Remember”, feature great accomplishments during the 1996 season. Players include Favre, Bennett, Freeman and White. Cards 60-79 named “Road to the Super Bowl” feature cards of the Packers playoff victories over San Francisco and Carolina. Cards 80-89 entitled “Battle in the Bayou” show highlights of Super Bowl XXXI victory over New England. Card 90 is a checklist.

The 1998 set features full color photos of all your favorite players from the 1997-98 Packers, from Brett Favre to Roderick Mullen to Jermaine Smith, plus stats, facts, and “Did You Know?” or highlights.
