The 2006 Topps football factory set contains 385 cards. Included in this set are 278 veterans, 75 rookies, plus league leaders, and all pro and postseason highlight cards. As a special feature this year, the 2006 factory set will contain a cello pack of 5 bonus rookie cards only available in the factory set. Each set is packed in a shrink-wrapped, full-color gift box.

As in 2005, Topps again will be featuring team edition sets. Each set will contain the same 385 cards as in the regular 2006 Topps football set. In addition, each set includes five rookie cards that were not included in the standard issue set. These rookies include: Dave Thomas, Garrett Mills (Patriots), Will Blackmon, Ingle Martin (Packers), Gerris Wilkinson, Jai Lewis (Giants), Cedric Humes, and Anthony Smith (Steelers). The only way to acquire these exclusive cards is through these team factory sets.
