Overview
In 1989 Bowman inserted sweepstakes cards in its unopened baseball packs. Each sweepstakes card reproduces a classic Bowman card from their 1948-1954 issues. The 11-card set features nine Baseball Hall of Famers including two Mickey Mantle cards, one a 1951 Bowman and the other a 1953 Bowman color. Other greats in the set include 1954 Ted Williams, 1948 Yogi Berra, 1949 Richie Ashburn, Duke Snider, and Gil Hodges, 1950 Jackie Robinson, and 1951 Whitey Ford and Willie Mays. All sets are Near Mint to Mint condition.
