This 1950 release featured members of the “Whiz Kids” Phillies team (including coaches and manager Eddie Sawyer). These 8” x 10” black and white portraits feature a posed photograph of the Phillies player without his cap on and include a facsimile autograph. The 1950 Phillies finished the season with a record of 91-63, winning the National League pennant in a dramatic extra-inning showdown with the Brooklyn Dodgers on the last day of the season (with Robin Roberts picking up his 20th win of the season with the 10-inning complete game). The Phillies were able to advance to the World Series but were swept by the Yankees. All photos grade Excellent Mint to Near Mint.
