Finally the NHL is back for 2013 and luckily Upper Deck had their skates sharp and ready for action. The 2012-13 Upper Deck hockey set sticks with the traditions that have made it one of the most collected sets in the hobby. The glossy card stock and trademark photography let the action do the talking. Due to the lockout this year’s base set is a smaller set than normal. The set is comprised of 200 cards of the top players of the National Hockey League including Jonathan Toews, Zdeno Chara, Nicklas Lidstrom, Martin Brodeur, Saku Koivu, Marian Gaborik, Sidney Crosby, Steven Stamkos, Henrik Zetterberg, Joe Pavelski, and so many more.
