Overview
In 1983 the Sporting News selected 12 players from over 8,000 glass negatives from the Conlon Collection. The players selected, one per month typify the roster of the Conlon Collection. It includes the great hitters, great sluggers, great pitchers, great managers and even the great fielders.
The 12 players portrayed in order by month starting with January. Lou Gehrig, Charley Gehringer, Lefty Grove, Bucky Harris, Gabby Hartnett, Miller Higgins, Heine Manush, Christy Mathewson, Babe Ruth, Al Simmons, Tris Speaker, and pictured in December is Pie Traynor. The photos measure 11” x 10” and have a few notes concerning each athlete, along with a facsimile autograph. These photos are great for framing.
This 1984 calendar matches dates with the calendar for the year 2012. Would work perfectly as your 2012 calendar!
