SPORTS IMPRESSIONS FIGURINES Standing atop a sturdy wooden base, these well- crafted statues stand fom 5 to 8 inches in height. Painted very colorful, finely detailed, and well-built makes these items an excellent buy and great keepsake. Based on strong friendships with Mickey Mantle and Don Mattingly, Sports Impressions was founded by Joe Timmerman in 1987. The two Yankees became good ambassadors for Sport Impressions to create a figurine line. The Sports Impressions generally were of three sizes: 5 inch, 7 inch, and 10 inch. Sometimes an edition size would be tied to a particular important statistical number of that player’s career but most often edition run was 2500. Sports Impressions often did not make the entire run depending on how the figurines sold. The number in ( ) indicates the size of the figurine in inches.
